ACHE SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES

Tasha Bergeron, MSPH, RN, is the Director of Population Health at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. She holds a Master of Science in Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health, a BS in Nursing from Dillard University and is currently a doctoral student with a concentration on Health Policy at Southern University Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs. Prior to her Blue Cross role, she was the Policy Manager at the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).

Denise Dugas is the Executive Director of the Mental and Behavioral Health Division at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She has more than 26 years of experience as a senior level executive in both for-profit and not-for-profit integrated healthcare organizations and free-standing behavioral health facilities. She is an expert in strategic planning, business development and hospital operations across the healthcare continuum delivery system with a primary concentration in behavioral healthcare, physical rehabilitation and long-term acute care. She is recognized as an effective and articulate leader with knowledge of industry regulatory issues and clinical standards that impact compliance and fiscal performance.

Lynn Nicholas, LFACHE, has held leadership positions with the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association, the American Diabetes Association, the LHA and the New Jersey Hospital Association. She was responsible for advocating for the healthcare industry and served as chief strategist and spokesperson. Her broad areas of expertise include quality of care optimization, negotiating, operational strategy, business turnaround planning, process improvements and cost containment. She earned her MA in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University and her BS in Medical Technology from Tennessee Wesleyan University. She completed the Executive Development Program at Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

Kyle Viator is the Market President of AmeriHealth Caritas of Louisiana. He is responsible for the plan’s strategic direction, growth and leadership, including the daily operations of medical affairs, operations, information services, quality, marketing, regulatory and legislative affairs, and human resources. He has extensive experience with the Medicaid program resulting from various leadership roles he had with LDH. Viator has a Master’s of Public Administration from the Louisiana State University Public Administration Institute and a BA from Louisiana State University.

William Weaver is CEO and Managing Director at Brentwood Hospital. He has more than 25 years of progressive behavioral healthcare experience working in both clinical and administrative roles with an MBA. He currently serves as a member-at-large for the LHA, the Board of Trustees for St. Mark’s Cathedral School, and Vestry of St. Mark’s Cathedral Church. Previously, Weaver served on the boards of multiple community organizations including the Alabama School of Alcohol and Other Drug Studies, the Shelby County Department of Human Resources Quality Review Committee, the Alabama Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives Delaware Regents Chapter, the Delaware Rural Health Initiative Mental Health Leadership Team, the Sussex County Mental Health Task Force, the Governor’s Advisory Council and Delaware Health Resources.
